elcome to the 2026 Power List! Inside this must-have directory you’ll find ranked lists and industry directories full of potential clients, essential services, and quality goods and materials.

All companies listed in the industry directories fill out an online form to submit their information, which is proofed and published free of charge. If you own or represent a company that is not currently listed—and you would like to be—please send an email to surveys@akbizmag.com with your contact information and a brief summary of the goods or services your company provides. We will send you a survey so you can be included in the 2027 Power List.

The information contained in the ranked lists is also submitted by companies, but all of the ranked lists have additional criteria: the Top 49ers must be headquartered in Alaska and are ranked by revenue; the Corporate 100 companies must have an Alaska address and Alaska business license and are ranked by number of Alaska employees; the Best of Alaska Business entities must have an Alaska address and are voted on by our readers; and the Legal Elite must have an Alaska business license and are nominated by other licensed lawyers. All of the ranked lists are printed exactly as they were originally published, which we do to ensure that any updates or changes don’t make the original lists/rankings appear to be inaccurate.

We hope you have many opportunities to utilize this invaluable resource, and if you have any recommendations to make improvements to the 2027 Power List, please send an email with your recommendations to surveys@akbizmag.com. Enjoy!

elcome to the third annual Alaska Business Legal Elite! This list features Alaska’s most talented lawyers, as nominated by their peers.

We invited licensed Alaskan lawyers to nominate fellow professionals whom they think excel in providing legal services. A third-party data collection specialist verified that the nominated individuals have a current law license. The final list of Legal Elite represents notable practicing lawyers in the state, selected by those who are intimately knowledgeable about what it takes to excel in the field.

Lawyers named among the Legal Elite occupy a range of roles, from working at government agencies or traditional law firms to corporate counsel or “hang a shingle” small practices. This list is not a directory of attorneys for hire; many would be happy to provide legal services to any client, but some already have briefcases full of other business. What this list does represent is the cream of the legal industry crop in Alaska.

We live it.

Investing in Brand Awareness with Alaska Business Magazine
Charles Bell Headshot

n today’s digital world, some may assume print is a relic of the past. I would counter with this thought experiment that I once heard someone (smarter than I) say: “If you truly believe print is dead, offer to give away $1,000 to every person who responds to your ad—no strings attached, and see what happens.”

The point is clear: quality print advertising still commands attention, credibility, and action.

Alaska Business magazine is uniquely positioned to deliver those results. Our readership is made up of Alaska’s business leaders, executives, and decision-makers. When your brand is showcased in Alaska Business, you’re not just reaching any audience—you’re connecting with the people who influence purchasing decisions and shape the state’s industries. When your brand is showcased in our pages, you’re not just reaching any audience—you’re connecting with the right audience.

Scheduled for April 15–17 at the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center and the Anchorage Museum, AES 2026 will explore the most pressing Arctic issues, including security, innovation, sustainable development, investment, and geopolitics.

The 2025 Summit convened leaders from more than twenty-seven countries—government officials, diplomats, business executives, investors, Indigenous leaders, scientists, and security experts. “This is where the conversation about the future of the North becomes multi-sector, international, and actionable,” says Arctic Encounter Founder and CEO Rachel Kallander, an Alaskan entrepreneur. “We’re not just bringing people together—we’re aiming to advance policy, strengthen partnerships, and build investment pipelines that will define the next decade of Arctic progress and security.”
